Traditional furnaces, which combine feeding, heating, and melting in a single chamber, often suffer from high oxidation losses—especially when processing thin, broken scrap with a large surface area. Oxidation rates can reach up to 20%, severely impacting profitability.

Our advanced furnace retains all core functionalities while integrating an innovative open side-pool system equipped with a mechanical molten aluminum pump. This design allows for a differentiated feeding approach: larger, bulk scrap is charged directly into the main furnace, while thin, fragmented scrap is continuously and automatically fed into a dedicated vortex feeding well via a pre-processing line. A mechanical pump circulates high-temperature molten aluminum from the main furnace through a mechanical stirring well into this vortex well. Here, the scrap is melted efficiently without direct exposure to open flame, transforming into lower-temperature molten aluminum that flows back into the main chamber for final reheating.

This closed-loop, high-temperature molten aluminum circulation cycle ensures that thin scrap is melted under controlled conditions, significantly reducing oxidation loss and dramatically increasing scrap aluminum recovery rates. It is widely regarded as the most suitable and mature technology for the inline recycling of challenging scrap materials.
